Stéphanie Guerzoni (1887, Vienna – 1970, Geneva) was the student of Ferdinand Hodler from 1915 to 1918. The great master's influence is evident in the symbolist style that Guerzoni adapted in the 1920s. For her late work she largely painted portraits, Italian landscapes, and frescoes. In 1957, Guerzoni wrote a monograph on Hodler, which was published in 1959 by the Rascher Verlag in Stuttgart under the title Ferdinand Hodler als Mensch, Maler und Lehrer.
