Willy Röthlisberger (1914, Elsau-Räterschen – 1977) was a Swiss expressionist painter. His works are characterized by an intense and vibrant use of colour and can be considered examples of cheerful Expressionism. His work predominantly reflects the positivity and optimism that the artist revelled in. Röthlisberger was also an avid sculptor, glass, and theatre decorator, certain assignments even bringing him to Munich.
